Guido van der Werve, Nummer veertien, home, 2012.

On the occasion of the exhibition Hollywood and Other Myths, now on view at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, we invite you to a screening of artist and filmmaker Guido van der Werve's Nummer veertien, home

Van der Werve's films are physically and emotionally ambitious, verging on the edge of dangerous. Nummer veertien, home poetically interweaves tales of Alexander the Great, the death of Frédéric Chopin, and van der Werve's own personal narrative. For the film, the artist performed a 1,000-mile triathlon (swimming, biking, and running) from Warsaw to Paris - seven times the length of the Ironman Triathlon - to commemorate the path Chopin's heart traveled to its final burial place.

Tuesday, June 12, 7-9pm

Spring Place

6 St. Johns Lane

New York, NY 10013

The screening will be followed by converstaion led by a guest curator. Space is limited. Kindly RSVP by June 5  here.
