Guido van der Werve Third Annual Run to Rachmaninoff

Dutch artist Guido van der Werve invites you to grab some Chamomile flowers and run along with him on his Third Annual Run to Rachmaninoff. Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff is buried at Kensico cemetery in Valhalla in upstate New York, 30 miles away. This performance leaves Saturday the 8th of September at 9 am from Luhring Augustine Bushwick (25 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237). During the run, water and sport drinks and a ride home upon completion are supplied; you must bring your own bars and gels. Participation is free but limited. We will pace ourselves to the slowest participants, but participants should be in shape to jog 30 miles.

If you complete the run you will receive a medal designed by the artist.

Participation is at your own risk and participants are asked to sign a waiver beforehand. If you are interested in taking part or if you have any questions about the event, please contact Elizabeth Serlenga at 212.206.9100 or via email at

This event coincides with the opening of Guido van der Werve’s exhibitions at both Luhring Augustine locations.
