Luhring Augustine is pleased to announce Extensions Out, a benefit exhibition to support the New York-based non-profit Blank Forms, organized by the artist Sanya Kantarovsky (Blank Forms Curatorial Advisory Board Member) and Hannah Hoffman (Blank Forms Board Vice Chair). On view from November 2 to 5 at our Tribeca location, Extensions Out includes works by thirteen artists, many of who are friends or collaborators of Blank Forms. Taking its title from a rare 1972 volume of poetry by polymath jazz composer Sun Ra, the exhibition celebrates and sustains mutual affinities traversing music, literature and visual art. Artists include Richard Aldrich, Olga Balema, Camille Blatrix, Julien Ceccaldi, Leidy Churchman, Ann Craven, Christina Forrer, Hanna Hur, Robert Janitz, Sanya Kantarovsky, Monique Mouton, Kate Spencer Stewart, and Terry Winters.

Thank you for considering this crucial fundraising initiative. All sales will be split between the artists and Blank Forms, with the proceeds received by the organization going to help fund future performances, publications, and archival initiatives.

Blank Forms is a nonprofit organization supporting emerging and historically significant artists who produce work across disciplines, often rooted in traditions of experimental and creative music. The organization aims to establish new frameworks to preserve, nurture, and present these artists' work and to build platforms for practices underrepresented in art's commercial, institutional, and historical fields. Blank Forms collaborates with artists on commissions, exhibitions, publications as well as archival and estate projects within contemporary cultural ecosystems and in perpetuity. In presenting and documenting this work, Blank Forms seeks to foster an artistic community founded upon engaged and equitable conversations across continents, media, and generations.
