Salman Toor in "The World that Belongs to Us" - The New Art Gallery Walsall, England - Highlights - Luhring Augustine

Salman Toor is included in The World that Belongs to Us, a group exhibition on view at the New Art Gallery Walsall in Walsall, England through June 9, 2024.

Curated by Aziz Sohail with Head of Exhibitions, Deborah Robinson, this exhibition brings together a constellation of intergenerational artists from the South Asian diasporas of the UK, USA and Canada. Sharing a common thread of combining autobiography and activism, and working across a wide range of media including painting, photography, film, animation, wall drawing and site-specific installation, these practices activate a wide range of conversations around community and belonging, friendship and intimacy, migrant and diasporic storytelling and queer world-making. Featured in this exhibition are three works on paper, Crying Boy, Group D, Fag Puddle and Watchers, and a painting, Park Boys by Salman Toor.
