Tunga: Conjunções Magnéticas

A retrospective of the work of Tunga (1952-2016) is currently on view at the Insitituto Itaú Cutural. Titled Conjunções Magnéticas [Magnetic Conjunctions], the exhibition celebrates the artistic production of the Brazilian artis, whose practice moves freely between diverse disciplines, including sculpture, drawing, performance, installation, poetry, and video.

Tunga's work often blurs the lines between the realms of artistic expression and other humanistic practices, from science and alchemy to ancestral rites.
